How to change your Steam avatar
Your avatar is the first thing people see on your profile. You may no longer be able to change the picture inside a game — Valve has removed the option to edit it directly in some games.
- Open Steam and go to your Profile — just click the square with your current avatar in the top right corner of the screen.
- Click “Edit Profile” and go to the “Avatar” section.
- Upload an image of up to 2 MB; it will be displayed at 184×184 px.
- Click “Save”. Done!
Use a square image so it displays without cropping.
