Creating a new Steam account
Signing up takes just a couple of minutes.
- Go to steamcommunity.com
- Click “Sign in”, then “Create an account”
- Enter your email, name and password
- Confirm the new account by entering the code sent to your email.
We recommend turning on Steam Guard two-factor protection right away by downloading the mobile app — that makes it far more likely your account stays protected and out of scammers’ hands.
Remember that multi-accounting is banned in many games, and to use the full range of features you’ll need to spend at least $5.
For your account, it’s best to choose the country you’ll actually play from, or a CIS country — for example, Kazakhstan, where games are often cheaper.
